<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase the volume of a washing/dewatering tub without increasing the height of a product body while securing reliability. <P>SOLUTION: The washing machine includes: a cylindrical washing/dewatering tub 46 having a bottom in which a pulsator 47 is freely rotationally arranged on the central bottom; a water tub 45 that freely rotatably contains the washing/dewatering tub 46; a dewatering rotational shaft 68 that is driven by a motor 49; a substantially disk like metallic flange 67 that connects and supports the dewatering rotational shaft 68 and the bottom of the washing/dewatering tub 46 and has a boss part 42 substantially in the center; and a flange nut 70 that threadedly engages and fixes the flange 67 and the dewatering rotational shaft 68. On a side face of the boss part 42, an upper groove part 43a is formed at the upper part and a lower groove part 43b is formed at the lower part. The flange 67 embeds an outer periphery 72 of the boss part 42 and the upper groove part 43a and the lower groove part 43b in the bottom of the washing/dewatering tub 46. Thus it is possible to improve a washing performance by increasing the volume of the washing/dewatering tub without increasing the height of product body while securing reliability. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
