1. A near field communication device for providing a communication path between a processor of the near field communication device and an external device, the near field communication device comprising:
the processor; a controller coupled to the processor; wherein the controller is adapted for establishing a communication between the controller and the external device for providing a communication path between the processor and the external device via the controller serving as a gateway, wherein the controller is adapted for switching for communicating with a plurality of external devices by switching between different near field communication device emulation modes; wherein the external device is a mobile host processor and wherein the processor is free of a contact interface to the mobile host processor; wherein the processor is selected from the group consisting of a universal integrated circuit card or a subscriber identity module card; wherein the controller is configured to send ISO 7816 commands to the processor via a single wire protocol connection. |
