Provided are an optimal disposition system for an abnormality diagnosis system of an SMT production line facility, and a method thereof. According to an embodiment of the present invention, in the optimal disposition system for an abnormality diagnosis system of an SMT production line facility for optimally disposing a facility abnormality diagnosis system to monitor and forecast the abnormality of the SMT production line, the optimal disposition system for an abnormality diagnosis system of an SMT production line facility comprises: an inputting part which inputs line composition data of a production line and each equipment data of the production line; a setting data calculating part which calculates setting data related with the quantity and linkage of a facility abnormality diagnosis component required to the facility abnormality diagnosis system based on the line composition data and equipment data; an estimate data calculating part which calculates estimate data required to the facility abnormality diagnosis component; and a display part which displays the setting data and estimate data.
