DEVICE FOR MASS DESICCATION OF ROLLED UP CAULIFORM PLANTS

The device (Fig.4) is intended for rolled up stalk plant, for example, hemp mass desiccation with active ventilation using the atmosphere air, blown by a ventilator into the roll through openings (3), made in an air flow distribution tube’s (2) wall. In order to speed up the desiccation process and decrease the consumption of energy, the openings (3) are made with gradually diminishing cross section area from bottom to top. That compensates the influence on the desiccation process of the decrease of compression of the roll’s mass and increase the air pressure in the tube (2) from its bottom to top. Openings (3) in the tube’s (2) wall are located evenly along circles (A1, …, A12) at distance L. For the control of the desiccation process the device is equipped with a differential thermometer (7) and temperature sensors (6, 8).
