PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a long object taking-up machine capable of automatically performing a switching operation of a taking-up operation of a long object around a drum and a drawing operation from the drum only if a moving direction is changed.SOLUTION: A long object taking-up machine includes: a drum 2 around which a long object 23 is taken up; a driven wheel 13a provided in the drum 2; drum support mechanisms for supporting an inner diameter surface by a roller; frames (7a, 7b, 3a, 4a, 4b, and 4c) suspending each of the drum support mechanisms from both sides; first and second axle position movement mechanisms fixed to the frames on a lower side of each of the first and the second drum support mechanisms; and a first carrying wheel 1a and a second carrying wheel which include each of a first axle 17a and a second axle guided by each of the first and the second axle position movement mechanisms and carry the frames. The interval between a rotary shaft of the drum 2 and the fist axle 17a is automatically set by the direction of force applied to the frames. |
