<p>A cylinder head gasket (1) comprising first and second gasket substrates (2, 3) having full beads (2b, 3b) formed therein, an intermediate plate (4), a grommet substrate (5) having a grommet (5a) formed therein, and a shim (6) provided between the first gasket substrate and the intermediate plate. Half beads (2c, 3c) that each protrude to the opposite side of the intermediate plate are provided further on the outer peripheral side of the first and second gasket substrates than the full beads, the bases of the half beads are provided further on the outer peripheral side than the end (5c) of the grommet, an end on the outer peripheral side of the shim is provided at a position where same polymerizes with the base of the bead sections, and a coating (C) is formed on the rear surface side of the first and second gaskets, further on the outer peripheral side than the grommet and having as an inner circumferential edge thereof the inner peripheral side rather than the base of the bead sections. Combustion gas that has flowed into a space formed by the grommet can be sealed and damage to the grommet caused by repeated loads can be prevented.</p> |
