<p>A method, apparatus, and computer-readable storage medium perform Internet of Things (IoT) location categorization using a computing device. The computing device uses discovery processes to determine the types of Internet of Things (IoT) devices in the location. Machine learning, pattern recognition, and/or hard-coding are used to determine the Internet of Things (IoT) location type based on the types of Internet of Things (IoT) devices in the types of Internet of Things (IoT) location.
