PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide highly uniform silicon/germanium nanoparticle dispersions that can form stable dispersions with a desirable small secondary particle size.SOLUTION: The silicon/germanium nanoparticles are surface modified to form the dispersions, and can be doped to change particle properties. The dispersions are printed as an ink for appropriate applications. The dispersions can form selectively doped deposits of semiconductor materials, e.g., for formation of photovoltaic cells or for formation of printed electronic circuits. |
