PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technology that can optimize the output of a laser light source of a front projection type projector.SOLUTION: A front projection type projector includes laser light sources 1 to 3, and a video forming part 21 that modulates the rays of light output from the laser light sources 1 to 3 to forme a video. The front projection type projector further includes a projection lens unit 13 that projects the video formed by the video forming part 21 to a projection object, a range finder 14 that measures the distance to the projection object, and an output control unit 22 that controls the outputs of the laser light sources 1 to 3 on the basis of the distance measured by the range finder 14. |
