Provided is an in-wheel motor drive device (21), which includes a casing (22) that holds a motor unit (A), a deceleration unit (B), and a wheel axle bearing (C), the motor unit (A) comprising a stator (23a) secured to the casing (22), a motor rotating shaft (24) rotatably supported by the casing (22) via rolling bearings (36, 36), and a rotor (23b) mounted on the motor rotating shaft (24), wherein the clearance (δ) of the rolling bearings (36) in the radially inner section prior to assembly with the motor unit (A) is set to the range of 8-25 µm. The in-wheel motor drive device (21) is characterized in that the motor rotating shaft (24) is rotatably supported by the casing (22) via a plurality of rolling bearings (36a', 36b') and the fit between the motor rotating shaft (24) and the rolling bearings (36a', 36b') that support the motor rotating shaft (24) is a transition fit or a tight fit. |
