The present invention relates to a core used in a winding device for fabricating an electrode assembly of a prismatic secondary battery. The present invention provides the core for fabricating the electrode assembly of the prismatic secondary battery including: a core body having a circumferential surface for winding the electrode assembly in a circular form; and a folding chuck installed to be capable of moving forward or backward in a radial direction within the core body for selectively protruding out of the core body and forming a folding line in the electrode assembly wound in a circular form around the core body when the folding chuck protrudes.
