<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rear seat occupant monitor system capable of confirming the behavior of a rear seat occupant without any cost increase and even in the case where a regulating condition to stop an image display establishes.SOLUTION: A portable terminal 10 photographs a rear seat occupant by a built-in camera 12, and executes an image recognition processing upon the photographed image thereby to estimate the state of the rear seat occupant. The portable terminal 10 sends the information and image indicating the state of the estimated rear seat occupant to an on-vehicle device 20. While a display regulating condition for the driver of the vehicle to attend to the surrounds is holding, the display of the image of the rear seat occupant to a display 23 of the on-vehicle device 20 is stopped. However, the on-vehicle device 20 notifies the state of the rear seat occupant to a front seat occupant by using a speaker 27. Hence, the front seat occupant can confirm the behavior of a rear seat occupant.</p> |
