This information processing device is provided with: a broadcast reception unit that is capable of receiving a broadcast signal; and a controller that is configured to acquire at least information for controlling the operation of an application that uses the broadcast signal that is received by the broadcast reception unit and an application information table in which information that indicates an expiration date is written, determine whether the expiration date of the acquired application information table is past on the basis of the information that indicates an expiration date, and disable startup of the application that is based on the application information table when it is determined that the expiration date is past.
