The present invention addresses the problem of improving the workability of installation work of a flat cable. This cable holding member (20) is provided with a stopper member (30) and a housing (40). The flat cable (10) is wound around an installation surface (31a) of the stopper member (30) so as to be folded back. The housing (40) has a mounting surface (43) provided at the peripheral edge of an opening of a housing space for housing the stopper member (30) in order to mount the flat cable (10) thereon, and a recessed portion (44) into which a protruding portion (14) of the flat cable (10) mounted on the mounting surface (43) is fitted. When the stopper member (30) is inserted in the housing space of the housing (40) in a state where the flat cable (10) is mounted on the mounting surface (43), the stopper member (30) is installed in the housing (40) in a state where the flat cable (10) is wound around the installation surface (31a).
