摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fine particle filter having a geometrical shape and fine structure which produces low pressure loss upon cleaning, low pressure loss response and pressure loss response of a steep slope for fine particle load, facilitates fuel economy of an engine, lowers regeneration frequency of the filter and increases filtration efficiency.SOLUTION: A fine particle filter 100 includes an inlet edge 102, an outlet edge 104 and a plurality of channels 108 and 110 arranged and configured such that fluid flows from the inlet edge 102 to the outlet edge 104. Therein, the channels 108 and 110 are demarcated by a porous wall 106 configured so as to catch fine particles, the porous wall has a cell density less than about 200 cpsi, a wall thickness less than about 0.36 mm and a pore diameter distribution where a median pore diameter falls into the range of about 13 to about 20 μm, the total porosity is larger than about 45% and such a porosity that the pore less than 10 μm is less than about 6%, and a ratio of the length to the diameter is less than about 1.
