PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a printer device capable of printing for as long as possible in a printer device using a battery.SOLUTION: The problem is solved by providing a control method of a printer device having: a print head which has a plurality of heater elements for performing printing on recording paper; a motor for conveyance for conveying the recording paper; a control unit for performing control of the print head and the motor for conveyance; and a voltage measurement unit for measuring a voltage of a power supply for supplying power. In the control method for the printer device, a voltage value V of the power supply is measured before flowing electric current in the heater elements, the number N of usable heater elements in the print head is calculated based on the measured voltage value V of the power supply, a termination voltage value VE of the power supply, an internal resistance value Ri of the power supply, a resistance value Rh of the heater elements in the print head, and a current value Im flowing in the motor for conveyance, and printing on the recording paper is performed by using the calculated N-pieces of heater elements. |
