<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a stretch packaging device capable of further reducing electric power consumption. <P>SOLUTION: The stretch packaging device includes a packaged object input section, a packaged object discharge section, a plurality of electricity consumption components, and a control section. In the packaged object input section, packaged objects are inputted. In the packaged object discharge section, the packaged objects are discharged while being packaged. The plurality of electricity consumption components package and discharge the inputted and packaged objects. The control section controls the electricity consumption components. A human body detection means is arranged near the packaged object input section and/or the packaged object discharge section. The human body detection means detects the presence of persons inputting the packaged objects. Furthermore, the control section includes a mode switching part. The mode switching part switches a normal mode and a first standby mode based on a detection result by the human body detection means.
