<p>A game controller for use with an entertainment device 1000 comprises two handles 124 and a central body 110. Each of the handles is arranged to be returnably separable from the central body, and each returnably separable handle comprises at least a first motion detection means operable to generate motion detection data and wireless communication means operable to transmit motion detection data to a remote receiver. Optionally the remote receiver may be in the central body or the entertainment device. Preferably the motion detection means further comprises an infrared light source for detection by a video camera coupled to the entertainment device.
