The present invention relates to an internet protocol (IP) address allocation method for a communication device in a communication system which supports a dynamic host configuration protocol (DHCP), the invention comprising the steps of: generating a virtual bridge interface including interfaces included in the communication device; setting a media access control (MAC) address of the virtual bridge interface to any one MAC address among the interfaces; and being allocated of an IP address for the communication device by using the MAC address of the virtual bridge interface.
