The present invention relates to an AV device and a control method thereof, wherein the AV device comprises: a first signal outputting unit outputting a video signal and a first audio signal corresponding to the video signal to a display device; a first signal receiving unit receiving a feedback signal of the first audio signal from the display device; a second signal outputting unit outputting a second audio signal corresponding to the video signal; and a control unit comparing the first audio signal with the feedback signal to determine a process delay time of the display device and performing a control operation to delay the second audio signal as compared with the video signal and to output the delayed signal based on the determined process delay time. Therefore, the present invention compensates for the delay, correctly and reliably, to output the video signal and the audio signal.
