An electronic device includes: a plurality of slots where a plurality of electronic instruments are mountable; and an electronic instrument inserted in any of the plurality of slots; wherein the electronic instrument includes a flow rate limiting member that protrudes to a side of an adjacent slot where no electronic instrument is mounted and limits a flow rate of cooling air flowing through the adjacent slot.

a shielding plate that protrudes into an adjacent slot where no electronic instrument is mounted and limits a flow rate of cooling air flowing through the adjacent slot, anda movable part to cause the shielding plate to retract into a space between the electronic instruments when the electronic instrument is inserted into the adjacent slot and cause the shielding plate to protrude into the adjacent slot when the electronic instrument in the adjacent slot is extracted.
