<p>The present invention relates to a vehicle bumper system for detecting an accident which obtains conditions of a vehicle and conditions of a driver when an accident caused by a vehicle collision occurs to promptly process the accident and warn others regardless of whether the drive is conscious to protect the driver and drivers around the scene of the accident from an additional accident or the like. The vehicle bumper system for detecting an accident comprises: a speed sensor installed on a bumper; an impact sensor installed on the bumper; a tilt sensor installed on the bumper; a transmission unit to transmit information; and a control unit to receive detection signals from the sensors to determine whether an accident has occurred and transmit accident information to the transmission unit. If a speed value, an impact value, and a tilt value inputted from the speed sensor, the impact sensor, and the tilt sensor are larger than or equal to prescribed values, the control unit transmits the accident information such as a GPS location value and vehicle information to a rescue agency and an insurance company via the transmission unit, and transmits a warning message to a smartphone or a smart device capable of communication of a driver of a following vehicle. If the speed value and the impact value inputted from the speed sensor and the impact sensor are larger than or equal to the prescribed values, and the tilt value is smaller than the prescribed value, the control unit transmits an alert to a registered smartphone or a smart device capable of communication of the driver. If the driver does not respond, the control unit transmits the accident information to the rescue agency and the insurance company, and transmits the warning message to the smartphone or the smart device capable of communication of the driver of the following vehicle. If the driver does respond, the control unit transmits a message confirming whether a rescue is needed.</p> |
