The present invention relates to a composition for preventing, improving and treating a liver damage caused by hepatotoxic materials wherein the composition contains as an active ingredient a fermentation product of a chestnut shell enzyme decomposition solution. The fermentation product of a chestnut shell enzyme decomposition solution of the present invention shows an excellent liver protection effect against the hepatotoxic materials and thus can be effectively used for preventing, improving and treating a liver damage caused by the hepatotoxic materials.
