A server apparatus is disclosed. The apparatus of the present invention comprises: a communication unit for receiving a text corresponding to a voice signal inputted from a display apparatus; a storage unit for storing a mapping table mapping keywords and content genres; and a control unit for searching, in case where a keyword corresponding to a text is nonexistent among keywords included in the mapping table, content information belonging to a content genre mapped to text synonyms, and for transmitting the search result to the display apparatus through the communication unit and for updating the mapping table by adding synonyms as keywords. Accordingly, it is possible to effectively perform a search of content information in response to a voice input.
