<p>Provided are a content distribution method and device, comprising: receiving, by an upstream controller, content request information of a user equipment; sending, by the upstream controller, a first query request to a first downstream master controller, the first query request being used for requesting the first downstream master controller to provide identification information about a cache device which provides a cache service for the user equipment; receiving, by the upstream controller, the identification information about the cache device, which is received by the first downstream master controller from a first downstream slave controller and sent by the first downstream master controller; and sending, by the upstream controller, the identification information about the cache device to the user equipment, so that the user equipment sends the content request information to the cache device according to the identification information about the cache device. Selecting a nearby cache device which provides a cache service for a user shortens the transmission delay, improves the efficiency of content distribution and improves the quality of service.</p> |
