PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a virtual image display device in which luminance spot is suppressed.SOLUTION: A filter 50 is arranged between a projection optical system 12 and a light guide device 20, and changes a spatial distribution of a transmitted light volume. Consequently, an image with suppressed luminance spot is displayed to an observer, even when the image as the virtual image formed by the projection optical system and a light guide device 20 has a comparatively large luminance spot. Thus, the virtual image displayed by a virtual image display device 100 is made high quality while enlarging the size of the displayed image. |
