PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a diagnostic method of a hydraulic machine and a diagnostic device for the hydraulic machine capable of detecting a piston jump phenomenon from the outside of the hydraulic machine.SOLUTION: The diagnostic method of a hydraulic machine 10 including a rotary shaft 12; a plurality of cylinders 14; a plurality of pistons 16; and a casing 18 for storing the plurality of cylinders 14 and the plurality of pistons 16, therein the plurality of pistons 16 are configured to be guided by each of the plurality of cylinders 14, and to be moved reciprocally in association with the rotation of the rotary shaft 12 has: a vibration detection step of detecting the vibration of the casing 18 by a vibration sensor 2 disposed in the casing 18 while the rotary shaft 12 is rotated in the unloaded condition of the hydraulic machine 10; and a determination step of determining the presence/absence of the occurrence of a piston jump phenomenon accompanied by the collision and separation of the piston 16 with and from the rotary shaft 12 side on the basis of the detection result of the vibration sensor 2. |
