<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable appropriate control of the operation frequency of a CPU during execution of processing of GC to suppress power dissipation.SOLUTION: An operation frequency controller performs control so as to decrease the operation frequency of a CPU before the start of or in the middle of garbage collection relative to a heap, which is a region that a program executed by the CPU capable of controlling the operation frequency, dynamically secures a memory in a main memory for storing data used for the program, to execute garbage collection under the state of decreased operation frequency of the CPU, and to resume the operation frequency of the CPU to an original frequency in the middle of or after the garbage collection. The present invention is applicable, for example, to a mobile terminal such as a smart phone.</p> |
