PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a melamine decorative material which can clearly express a decorative pattern, can make fingerprints inconspicuous, and has excellent durability, and to provide a method for producing the melamine decorative material which enables easy production of such a melamine decorative material.SOLUTION: There is provided a melamine decorative material 100, having on its surface a first region 111 composed of a melamine resin X and a second region 112 composed of a low refractive-index material Y having a lower refractive index than that of the melamine resin. Further, the melamine decorative material 100 includes a first layer 110 containing the melamine resin X and the low refractive index material Y, and a second layer 120 containing the melamine resin X and does not contain the low refractive-index material.
