A cooling fan apparatus is arranged between upper and lower structures in an electronic device and includes a housing having upper and lower surfaces respectively spaced apart from the upper and lower structures at first and second intervals, first and second air flow holes respectively formed on the upper and lower surfaces, and an air discharge port formed on a side surface thereof, a fan rotatably arranged on an inner side of the housing, a first air flow resistance reduction portion formed on at least a portion adjacent to an edge of the upper surface of the housing to be spaced apart from the upper structure at a third interval that is wider than the first interval, and a second air flow resistance reduction portion formed on at least a portion adjacent to an edge of the lower surface of the housing to be spaced apart from the lower structure at a fourth interval that is wider than the second interval.

1. A cooling fan apparatus arranged between upper and lower structures in an electronic device, comprising:
a housing having upper and lower surfaces that are respectively spaced apart from the upper and lower structures of the electronic device at first and second intervals, first and second air flow holes respectively formed on the upper and lower surfaces, and an air discharge port formed on a side surface thereof; a fan rotatably arranged on an inner side of the housing; a first air flow resistance reduction portion formed on at least a portion adjacent to an edge of the upper surface of the housing to be spaced apart from the upper structure at a third interval that is wider than the first interval; and a second air flow resistance reduction portion formed on at least a portion adjacent to an edge of the lower surface of the housing to be spaced apart from the lower structure at a fourth interval that is wider than the second interval.
