The objective of the present invention is to provide an insert capable of maintaining the rigidity thereof irrespective of a clearance angle of a flank face forming a circular cutting edge. To this end, the insert of the present invention comprises a circular top surface, a circular bottom surface and a flank face part that connects the top surface and the bottom surface, wherein the flank face part is divided into first and second flank faces by a first wave line that forms a waveform of a low part toward the bottom surface and a high part toward the top surface along the circumference of the flank face part.
