Hob with a temperature sensor and user interface with a graphical display and method for operating a hob

The hob has a temperature sensor (12) i.e. thermo-resistor, determining a temperature of a cookware part (14) arranged on a heating zone (10). A user interface (16) is provided with a graphical display (18), and includes an input and select unit (20) that inputs a bake and/or fry heating stage and that selects a dish to be cooked. A control unit (22) is designed to regulate the determined temperature to a reference value depending on the bake and/or fry heating stage. The control unit determines the heating stage depending on the selected dish, and displays the stage on the graphical display. An independent claim is also included for a method for operating a hob with a heating zone.
