The present invention relates to a battery management apparatus comprising: a first battery group; a second battery group installed apart from the first battery group; a main body having the first and second battery group; and a control unit discharging and distributing the falling cooling air to the first and second battery group, in order to cool the batteries and recover the rising heat generated by the batteries. The present invention provides batteries with controllable temperature, thereby increasing the charge and discharge efficiency of the batteries and enhancing the performance of a battery power storage system.
