<p>This cutting insert is equipped with an upper surface, a lower surface, a lateral surface connected respectively to the upper surface and the lower surface and having sequentially a first lateral surface and a second lateral surface, a through-hole penetrating through the lateral surface, an upper cutting blade, a lower cutting blade, and at least one upper recess positioned on the first lateral surface and leading to the upper surface. For the at least one upper recess, the depth of the recess in the reference plane connecting the upper cutting blade and the lower cutting blade increases from the upper surface side toward the lower surface side. A cutting tool equipped with this cutting insert, and a method for producing a cutting work piece by using this cutting tool, are provided.</p> |
