PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method for efficiently producing an ink jet recording material which is capable of controlling a crack of an ink receiving layer provided on a support and has an printed portion with an excellent gloss feeling and an excellent print density even when ink jet recording is achieved using any of an dye ink and a pigment ink.SOLUTION: In a manufacturing method for an ink jet recording material which has a process to form an undercoat layer by coating an undercoat layer coating liquid containing a cross-linking agent on a support, a coating process to form an ink receiving layer coating film by coating an ink receiving layer coating liquid containing a gelling component to gel by the cross-linking agent and a pigment on an undercoat layer and a drying process to form an ink receiving layer by drying the ink receiving layer coating film, the drying process includes a humidifying process. |
