The present invention relates to a surface-treated positive electrode active material and a lithium secondary battery using the same and, more specifically, to a surface-treated positive electrode active material and a lithium secondary battery using the same, which can improve electrochemical properties and thermal stability of a positive electrode active material by double coating the surface of a positive electrode active material for a lithium secondary battery with metal oxide, electron, and an ion-conductive polymer copolymer, thereby manufacturing a lithium secondary battery having excellent output properties.
