The present invention relates to a channel searching method and an apparatus for receiving a broadcast using the same. According to an embodiment of the present invention, the channel searching method comprises: a step of setting a first channel in a broadcast signal; a step of producing a signal intensity for the broadcast signal and an automatic gain control signal for the first channel; and a step of skipping demodulation for the first channel if the signal intensity satisfies a preset first condition and the automatic gain control signal satisfies a preset second condition.
