The present invention relates to a tackifier resin and a preparation method thereof and, more specifically, provides a tackifier resin, capable of economically realizing physical properties of a similar level as a conventional alpha-methylstyrene tackifier resin by solving low compatibility with a base polymer that a petroleum resin conventionally has and a low softening point and a color thereof and preventing degradation of the physical properties while reducing the amount of high-priced alpha-methylstyrene used at the same time. |
