The present invention relates to a device and a method for controlling the manual transmission of a wheel excavator. The device for controlling the manual transmission of a wheel excavator comprises: a synchronizer installed among a plurality of shifting gears arranged on the output axis of the manual transmission of a wheel excavator; a parking solenoid valve for controlling the application of pilot pressure by an accelerator pedal; and a control part for blocking the parking solenoid valve for a time when the synchronizer synchronizes with one among the shifting gears. Therefore, damage to the synchronizer can be minimized during rapid movement after changing gears.
