A system for reducing a wave load of the present invention includes a wave reducing apparatus installed apart from a floating power plant at a predetermined distance to reduce wave load affecting the floating power plant installed on the sea. The system for reducing a wave load converts energy of water into mechanical energy to reduce energy against wave around a free surface including much wave energy by installing a water turbine structure against wave as a wave-reducing apparatus at a position placed apart from the floating power plant at a predetermined distance. The system for reducing a wave load is configured to loss wave power to reduce vertical movement of the floating power plant, thereby providing stability for an operation of floating power generation equipment. Also, the system for reducing wave load includes an electricity supplying line installed between the turbine generator and the floating power plant to generate electricity in the water turbine wave-breaker and supplies the electricity to the floating power plant, thereby increasing energy efficiency.
