A method for displaying a summary of content corresponding to a uniform resource locator (URL) includes: a step of receiving a text message sent from a content distribution server which includes a shorten URL corresponding to an original URL; a step of displaying the shorten URL in a display area of the text message; a step of requesting information on a summary of content corresponding to the shorten URL from a shorten URL server when a selection about the shorten URL is inputted through the user interface; a step of receiving the information on the summary of content from the shorten URL server; a step of displaying the information on the summary of content; and a step of performing an action regarding the original URL when the selection about the information on the summary of content is inputted through the user interface.
