An objective of the present invention is to provide a displacement sensor which can suppress a flow of an adhesive into a light transmission area of a front cover. The displacement sensor comprises: a case which stores a light emitting element, a light receiving element, and elements, and has a groove unit for an adhesive purpose on a front surface unit thereof; and a front cover (40). The front cover (4) is provided on the front surface unit of the case. Light emitted from the light emitting element and light reflected by a target object are transmitted through the front cover (40). The periphery (40c) of the front cover (40) and the front surface unit (53) of the case are bonded to each other with an adhesive. A light transmission area through which the light from the light emitting element is transmitted is provided at a location corresponding to an upper surface of the case. A guide unit (40X) is provided between a circumferential surface (42c) of the light transmission area (AR) and the periphery (40c) of the front cover (40). The guide unit (40X) guides the adhesive flowing towards the light transmission area to the outside of the light transmission area. |
