<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a stencil printing apparatus that performs printing by pressing a sheet on a drum with stencil base paper wound thereon using a press roll, in which the occurrence of blurring of ink is prevented even when printing the sheet larger than that in a pre-job.SOLUTION: Size data of the sheet of a pre-job is stored in a size data storage unit (S9). After a job is received (S1), the size data of the sheet of a succeeding job is compared with the size data of the sheet of the pre-job in the storage unit at a comparing unit (S4). When the succeeding job is larger (S4,YES), before the succeeding job is executed (S7, S8), an idling operation of rotating a plate cylinder wound up with a stencil base paper of non-plate-making and pressing a press roller is executed (S5, S6). The printing area of the drum is filled with fresh ink over the full width, and a condition suitable for printing is achieved.</p> |
