<p>The present invention provides a method for producing an aqueous solution of sodium hypochlorite containing a small amount of impurities such as hypochlorite and sodium chloride at a high yield. The method for producing the low-salt aqueous solution of sodium hypochlorite includes the steps of: (1) supplying 30-60 wt% of an aqueous solution of sodium hydroxide to a reaction tank; (2) performing a chlorination reaction at 20-50°C by introducing chlorine gas, supplied to the reaction tank, to the aqueous solution of sodium hydroxide; and (3) obtaining the aqueous solution of sodium hypochlorite by removing a byproduct sodium chloride precipitated in step (2) after separating the byproduct sodium chloride from a reaction solution. Step (2) is performed in a condition that power required for agitation per unit volume 0.1~15 kW/m^3 and a ratio (Np/Nq) of the number of power required for agitation (Np) to the number of circulated flow volume (Nq) is 0.5-8.</p> |
