The present invention relates to a device and a method for controlling the power-saving of a showcase wherein optimal power-saving can be realized by automatically setting the opening time and closing time of a store by learning and controlling the showcase according to the corresponding time. The device for controlling the power-saving of a showcase comprises: an operation part for setting a power-saving control function and a set temperature; a detection part for detecting the door of the showcase and a human body; and a control part for controlling power-saving by accumulating door detection signals and human body detection signals, which are detected by the detection part, for a learning time if the power-saving control function is set by the operation part, and automatically setting an opening time and a closing time based on the accumulated information.
