PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce luminance unevenness caused by keystone correction without spoiling gradation of a display image.SOLUTION: An image processing part (140) performs keystone correction of input image data and supplies the keystone corrected input image data to a liquid crystal control part (150). The liquid crystal control part (150) drives liquid crystal elements (151R, 151G, 151B) in accordance with the image data supplied from the image processing part (140) and displays images of respective colors. A light source (161) includes a plurality of solid-state light source units #0 to #3 for mainly illuminating mutually different specific regions of the liquid crystal elements (151R, 151G, 151B) and a light source control part (160) includes light source driving sections #0 to #3 for driving the respective solid-state light source units #0 to #3. A CPU (110) instructs the light source control part (160) to adjust luminance of the solid-state light source units #0 to #3 for respectively illuminating corresponding regions in accordance with deformation of the image based on the keystone correction. |
