PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wire electric discharge machine, and a processing route generator for key groove processing for the wire electric discharge machine capable of generating a processing route for avoiding a problem peculiar to wire electric discharge that a key groove opening becomes narrow when a processing route for the key groove processing is generated.SOLUTION: A wire electrode 2 cuts into the center of a key groove 14b along a processing route 31, and processing is performed to a key groove bottom surface 36 of the key groove 14b. When the key groove bottom surface 36 of the key groove 14b is reached, the key groove bottom surface 36 is processed in a left direction of a paper plane. When a key groove side surface 35 is reached, the processing is performed toward a key groove entrance 32. Next, the wire electrode 2 cuts into the center of the key groove 14b along a processing route 33, and the processing is performed to the key groove bottom surface 36 of the key groove 14b. When the key groove bottom surface 36 of the key groove 14b is reached, the key groove bottom surface 36 is processed in a right direction of the paper plane. When a key groove side surface 37 is reached, the processing is performed toward a key groove entrance 34. |
