<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the accuracy of detecting a printing failure which is printed with a larger width than originally intended one, without requiring time and effort for preparing image data in advance.SOLUTION: An inspection apparatus for inspecting a printing failure on a printed matter formed according to print image data includes: an imaging section which images print data printed on a printed matter; an image processing section which performs image processing that erases pixels of an image to be inspected in a captured image of the imaging section, equivalent to a normal image which is an image in an image indicated by the print image data, corresponding to the image to be inspected; and a determination section which measures the area of the image to be inspected subjected to the image processing, and determines a printing failure in the printed matter when the measured area is equal to or larger than a predetermined threshold.</p> |
