Device (1) for extracting energy from biomass, comprises a pyrolysis device (3) for obtaining a process gas from the biomass, a cogeneration plant (11) for the extraction of heat energy and/or electrical energy from at least one portion of the process gas, a separation device (9) for depositing methane from the process gas, and a device for supplying remaining residual gas after the separation of methane from the process gas to a cogeneration plant for extraction of energy. An independent claim is also included for extracting energy from biomass, comprising (i) obtaining process gas from biomass by the pyrolysis- or gasification device, (ii) obtaining heat and electric energy from at least one portion of the process gas by the cogeneration plant, (iii) separating methane from the process gas by a separation device, and (iv) supplying residual gas to the cogeneration plant for the extraction of energy after the deposition of methane from the process gas. |
