PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a media dryer where drying is performed by batch processing within a vessel after washing a certain amount of media used in a media stirring type wet pulverizer.SOLUTION: A vessel 20 is cylindrical and has a gas supply port 50 to introduce a gas at a bottom surface. A net surface 26 to discharge the gas is disposed at the peripheral wall of the vessel 20 and has an angleθbetween the axis line of the vessel 20 and a horizontal plane of 50-80°. One or a plurality of the gas supply ports 50 are disposed. The total area of the gas supply port 50 is preferably 0.1 times or less of the area of the bottom surface and an average flow rate at the gas supply port 50 is preferably 2 m/s or higher. A sintered metal is preferably used as a distribution plate at the gas supply port 50. An excitation device 70 to vibrate the vessel 20 is preferably provided.
